The story: A group of young people heading to an abandoned factory, located on the outskirts of the city, to produce a short film; however, the whole plan turns into a nightmare.

Film Review: Ice Cream 2 is not a regular film, and if you pay attention to the titles, the film is the product of Ram Gopal Varma's grand vision to create a new film industry from Telugu. Although no one knows exactly what it is, it is fair to say that RGV wants to go home to the point where you can produce a movie without any budget, heavy equipment or professional actors among many other things needed for a feature film . And with Ice Cream 2, prove again that you do not need a script to either make an exciting movie.

The film focuses on a group of young people determined to prove they can produce a feature film. So, they go to an abandoned factory on the outskirts of town to produce a short film, and from the start, they begin to panic about the possibility of something unusual for them. Their worst nightmare comes true.

RGV uses a non-proscribed approach to extract the fear of heroes and almost all actors are approaching the reflection of the director's vision and reach your nerves at the same time. Dhanraj was wonderful when he was a shy young man, he was afraid when the hat came down and two other people like Nandoo and Siddhu did a good job. JD Chakravarthy, who plays a thief, has nothing to offer. RGV focuses more on cinematography and sound effects to give a sense of urgency to the unforgiving storytelling style. There is no ingenuity with regard to the structure of the story and despite the short run, it becomes a reel of how people are killed one by one.

Everything that happens can happen wrong throughout the film, although it is difficult to sympathize with any dead or living character. This makes you wonder if the story extends beyond its importance. The only silver lining of the film is the fluid motion of the camera that makes taking photos without interruption seem like walking in the shape of a cake and is almost ideal for this kind of movies.

On the other hand, maybe this is not the story or characteristics that RGV wants us to focus on. He expects us to see the bigger picture where anyone can make a movie without any budget. But in terms of pure cinematic experience, Ice Cream 2 serves as a reminder that you still need a good script to make the edge of excitement in the seat.
